Vyolante A'Dora
Vyolante is the Spool Bearer of the demigod Zell. She has served in this position since her childhood and has known little of life outside of her duty to the prophet.
Early Life
Vyolante and her twin sister Magdalena were born to an influential family on Ilha Lamento, where they were expected to ascend to a life of nobility as the wives of wealthy land owners. However, the sisters were seen as societally upsetting, as both carried a deep fascination with divination and speaking with the dead.
Through great pains, their father Hermano A'Dora found them accepting suitors and paid hefty dowries to wed them into prominent families - however, at a fundraiser for the Sanatorium, the two young women met the Daughter of Prophecy, the Cthonic goddess Zell, who saw in them great potential and power. Though typically she only employed the service of a single Spool Bearer, Zell insisted that she would need both sisters and invited them to join her.
Much preferring a life spent in the divine company of a gifted prophet to a life in servitude to a wealthy husband, both sisters eagerly accepted - enraging their father who promptly disowned the twins.
Schism
The A'Dora twins served happily with the Goddess until the Calamity befell Mag Duinn, bringing a new lord to the land. Almost overnight a new city sprang up in the highlands and the mysterious lord summoned the Goddess to his palace to ply her trade. During that encounter, the lord, Salvadaro Harbin Glumbo, fell madly in love with Magda and proposed to make her his queen. Though the two had ran from lives of opulence and servitude, Magda could not resist the proposal and married the noble, effectively abandoning her duties and her sister.
When Vyolante sought to protest the union, Zell held her back, insisting that she always knew this would be the shape of things - reminding her that she knew she would require both sisters, as she saw that one of them would abandon their duties.
Spool Bearer
In her centuries of service to Zell, Vyolante has become a profoundly talented seer in her own right, now able to read the threads of fate as Zell does. The two have travelled through many of the Cthonic realms, giving her a wide grasp of how insignificant the plight of a small rural pocket of the underworld actually is.
Since her defection, Vyolante and her sister Magda have not spoken or seen each other once.
