Vicente Anbrosio
Vicente Anbrosio is a young man who used to serve as the deputy of Aldeia de Raiz before he was embroiled in a scandal revolving around the death of a fellow citizen named Jose Sujeira. Since then, Vicente has fled the village and his whereabout remain unknown.
Personal Life
Vicente was born in the village of Espiga to pair of poor farmers. His mother died during a difficult birth, as both mother and child were deeply malnourished. Vicente's father was never shy about displaying his disdain for the boy he claimed murdered his beloved, and often abused, neglected and starved Vicente just to watch him suffer.
Orphaned when he was only 13, after his father died in his sleep, the head of the Família do Corvinho arranged for Vicente to be taken in by a family in the nearby village of Raiz, where he entered into an apprenticeship with the constable Margarida Gomez. He lived with this adoptive family for three years before taking a permanent position as village deputy and moved into his own private quarters.
As an individual, Vicent was known to be brash, rude and upsetting - mocking those he found fault with and making advances on young women he fancied regardless of their consent. Most everyone in town knew he was an alcoholic and gave him more grace than he deserved, as he would typically apologize the next day.
Scandal
One night in AC'200, a citizen was found dead in the village square and Vicente quickly became one of the prime suspects. The Murder of Jose Sujeira was being investigated by a group of outsiders who had arrived in the company of The Lord of the Land, and they immediately connected him with a motive and means to murder the man.
Though he was later exonerated of the murder, during the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Vicente had been a worshiper of The Mycelial Thread, a secretive cult that operates in the shadows. While not technically illegal, the investigators believed that Vicente was acting as an operative in some malicious business through his connection to the Thread and sought to further question the man.
When they returned to find his cell was empty, the group pursued the disgraced deputy into The Outlands where he was eventually captured while having an audience with The Emissaries of the Thread.
